Atoms

All particles in this system interact with each other by simple attraction and/or deflection. There exist `n` different kinds of particles, and `n²` attraction rules are defined randomly.

Beautifully complex systems can come from these simple rules, clusters form, and sometimes even stable configurations emerge.

To keep things interesting, every few hundred frames or so a single rule in the rule matrix mutates.
